Grant Wahl receives tributes at England-France World Cup game

The sudden loss of life of journalist Grant Wahl continues to hold over the World Cup.

Wahl, who was maybe the best-known soccer author in america, was mourned Saturday earlier than England and France confronted off within the quarterfinals in Qatar.

An image of Wahl was proven on a jumbotron at Al Bayt Stadium on Saturday.

FIFA officers reportedly positioned flowers and a photograph of Wahl on the seat he would have occupied to cowl the match.

Wahl, 49, died Friday after collapsing at Lusail Iconic Stadium whereas masking the World Cup match between Argentina and the Netherlands. In response to studies, Wahl fell again in his seat, obtained emergency medical remedy on website and was taken to a hospital. It’s unclear whether or not he died on the hospital or in transport.

Wahl revealed a day prior that he had visited the medical clinic and believed he was preventing bronchitis. Eric Wahl mentioned he believed his brother was killed.
