Imprisoned American in Iran calls on Biden to secure release

A United States citizen imprisoned by Iran on spying costs gave a uncommon interview from Tehran’s Evin jail, beseeching President Joe Biden to safe his launch and that of two different US nationals.

“I implore you, sir, to place the lives and liberty of harmless People above all of the politics concerned and to simply do what is critical to finish this nightmare and convey us dwelling,” Siamak Namazi informed CNN’s Christiane Amanpour in a phone interview on Thursday.

Namazi, 51, was talking on behalf of himself, Emad Shargi, 58, a businessman, and environmentalist Morad Tahbaz, 67, who has each US and British nationality.
