Malaysia floods force tens of thousands to evacuate

Malaysian cities have been left inundated with muddy water within the wake of torrential rains, footage shared on social media and verified by Reuters confirmed on Wednesday, forcing greater than 72,000 individuals to evacuate as rainfall and floods have been forecast to persist.

The Division of Irrigation and Drainage (DID) has warned of extra floods within the coming days because the monsoon season, which lasts from October to March, carries on. Authorities urged residents to evacuate if potential.
