A lady has died after she plunged overboard on a cruise ship returning to Florida from the Bahamas on Thursday, authorities stated.
The unnamed passenger, 36, went overboard on the MSC Meraviglia Thursday morning and her stays have been recovered by the US Coast Guard roughly 18 miles from Port Canaveral, Fla., based on NBC’s WESH 2.
The ship had been returning to the Sunshine State from Ocean Cay within the Bahamas when tragedy caught, the outlet reported.
The Coast Guard shortly launched a search by boat and helicopter however authorities quickly realized the girl had suffered deadly accidents.
“Sadly, regardless of the speedy rescue operation, the passenger sustained deadly accidents. We're providing our full help to authorities as they examine this matter,” the company stated in a press release.
