Billionaire Gildo Pallanca Pastor buys $9M Tribeca penthouse

Leonardo DiCaprio’s electric car racing buddy, Monaco-born billionaire Gildo Pallanca Pastor, just bought a Tribeca penthouse for $8.74 million, according to city property records.

It was last asking $8.95 million.

Pastor, the 54-year-old CEO of Venturi Automobiles — a French sports car manufacturer — co-founded the Venturi Formula E Team with DiCaprio in 2017.

Last year, Pastor sold the team, part of the FIA Formula E. Championship — the first fully electric worldwide car race series.

Although Pastor retains an interest, DiCaprio is no longer involved.

Pastor’s late mother Hélène — known as the richest woman in Monaco — was gunned down in Nice, France, in 2014 allegedly on the orders of her son-in-law Wojciech Janowski, who is in jail for life, according to reports. This year, Janowski blamed Pallanca Pastor for the murder, a claim that his lawyer called “despicable.”

Pastor bought the sprawling, 2,618-square-foot residence — at a landmarked, century-old building, 108 Leonard St. — through an LLC, “One Lucky Dog.”

He previously used the name to buy a $10.25 million apartment at 150 Charles St., as Gimme previously revealed, in 2018.

In Tribeca, the Italian Renaissance Revival building, designed by McKim, Mead & White, was restored by Jeffrey Beers. Pastor’s new, so-called terrace penthouse, on the 15th floor, features three bedrooms, 3½ bathrooms and two terraces that total an additional 1,072 square feet.

The home opens with an entry gallery that leads to a great room anchored by giant terraces and ceilings that are just under 11 feet.

Additional details include wide-plank blond oak flooring in a chevron pattern. There’s also a chef’s kitchen and a separate bedroom wing. The main bedroom suite features two walk-in closets and floor-to-ceiling windows.

Building amenities include more than 20,000 square feet of “wellness driven” amenities including a gym.
