Jada Pinkett Smith calls for ‘a season for healing’ following viral Oscars slap

Jada Pinkett Smith on Tuesday referred to as for “a season for therapeutic” amid the firestorm surrounding her husband’s viral slap of comic Chris Rock on the Oscars.

“It is a season for therapeutic and I’m right here for it,” Pinkett Smith posted Tuesday, two days after hubby Will Smith surprised Rock — and tens of millions of viewers — by smacking the comic for making a joke about his spouse’s baldness.

Pinkett Smith, 50, has been comparatively mum for the reason that incident, save for a photograph and a video to the music of Chopin on Instagram Monday displaying her in an emerald Jean Paul Gaultier robe.

Rock joked that the “Purple Desk Discuss” host, whose head is clean-shaven, may star in a sequel to “G.I. Jane,” the hit 1997 movie starring a bald-headed Demi Moore.

The feedback angered Smith, whose spouse suffers from alopecia, a dysfunction that causes sporadic hair loss and prompted her to shave her head final summer season.

Smith appeared to initially chuckle on the joke, however he then walked as much as Rock and unleashed the now-famous slap.

“Will Smith simply slapped the s–t out of me,” a surprised Rock stated.

Again in his seat, Smith then started screaming at Rock.

“Hold my spouse’s identify out of your f—-ing mouth,” the “Males in Black” star yelled.

Smith issued a public apology to Rock on Monday, saying, “I used to be out of line and I used to be improper” — even because the awards present organizers announce “a proper assessment.”
