Girl, 16, walking to school fatally struck by delivery truck in the Bronx: cops

A 16-year-old woman was fatally struck by a supply truck as she walked to high school in The Bronx Wednesday morning, police mentioned. 

Alissa Kolenovic was crossing Paulding Avenue on the Neill Avenue intersection in Morris Park round 8:20 a.m. when a truck hit her as the motive force turned onto the road, cops mentioned.

Kolenovic — who lived a couple of block away — was rushed to Jacobi Medical Heart, the place she was pronounced useless, authorities mentioned.

The truck driver, a 45-year-old man, stayed on the scene, police mentioned. 

The investigation is ongoing, cops mentioned.
