NYC driver who allegedly fatally struck Bronx teen charged, cops say

The supply truck driver who allegedly struck and killed a 16-year-old woman as she walked to highschool within the Bronx Wednesday has been charged with transferring violations within the incident, cops stated.

Joseph Zillitto, Jr., 46, was making a left flip when he allegedly struck Alissa Kolenovic — who was crossing Paulding Avenue on the Neill Avenue intersection in Morris Park round 8:20 a.m., cops stated. 

He stayed on scene and was charged with failure to yield to a pedestrian and failure to make use of due care, police stated.

Kolenovic — who lived a few block away from the scene — was rushed to Jacobi Medical Heart, the place she was pronounced useless, authorities stated.

Zillitto is a Bronx resident, however lives greater than three miles from the scene, in line with police.
