Two sea lions introduced a brand new which means to “locals solely” at a San Diego seashore Friday, viral video exhibits.
A video posted to TikTok exhibits the pair of marine mammals chasing away beachgoers who packed a small stretch of sand at La Jolla Cove on Friday.
The sunbathers dart down the seashore and out of the best way as the ocean lions waddle after them, the video exhibits.
The animals ultimately dive into the water and swim off with out harming anybody, the video exhibits.
The lady who filmed and posted the TikTok instructed NBC San Diego that the frenzied scene unfolded after the creatures had been woke up from their slumber by a human who received too near take a photograph.
“I began recording as a result of it was actually humorous to look at for me as a result of to see all these vacationers getting blown away by these big sea lions,” Charlianne Yeyna instructed NBC.
The video has garnered greater than 8 million views and over 1,000,000 likes since she posted it Saturday.
La Jolla Cove lies throughout the San Diego La Jolla Underwater Park Ecological Reserve, which protects marine life.
The cove is thought for its reputation amongst sea lions and seals that sunbathe on the rocks close by and indicators are posted warning guests to provide the wild animals their area.
