Donovan Mitchell, new Cavaliers teammates react to blockbuster deal

Donovan Mitchell made it clear that he loves New York; the Westchester County native has been seen throughout town this offseason, from Mets video games to Rucker Park.

In his first public feedback — or punctuation — as a Cavalier, it doesn't sound as if he hates the thought of taking part in in Cleveland, both.

Within the hours after varied shops reported the Jazz star has been despatched to the Cavs (and never the Knicks), Mitchell celebrated with a pair of exclamation factors.

Mitchell punctuated a tweet despatched by his new backcourt mate, Darius Garland.

“10 and 🕷,” Garland wrote, a reference to his personal jersey quantity and Mitchell’s “Spida” nickname.

One other Cavs guard, Ricky Rubio, celebrated the transfer on Twitter, too. He performed with Mitchell in Utah from 2017-19.

“RICKYYYYYYYY,” Mitchell wrote in response.

If Mitchell is upset about not touchdown with the Knicks — a company he grew up rooting for and one which’s close by his household, together with his father an government for the Mets — he isn't displaying any disappointment publicly.

Mitchell, a three-time All-Star, reportedly is being shipped from the Jazz for a bundle of three unprotected first-round picks plus two decide swaps — greater than the Knicks wished to give up — and Collin Sexton, Lauri Markkanen and Ochai Agbaji.
