Georgia Police Chief Anthony Williams arrested for allegedly burglarizing home

A Georgia police chief allegedly broke into and burglarized a house final month, officers mentioned.

Anthony Williams, chief of the Willacoochee Police Division, was arrested by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Wednesday after receiving experiences he allegedly busted into a house Oct. 11, the state company mentioned in a press launch.

The GBI opened an investigation into the incident Monday on the request of the Alapaha Judicial Circuit District Legal professional’s Workplace.

The 49-year-old chief turned himself in two days later.

Williams was booked, however posted a $5,000 bond, WALB Information 10 reported.

The investigation is ongoing.
