Penn State cancels event with Proud Boys founder Gavin McInnes over ‘threats of violence’

Penn State canceled a controversial occasion that includes Proud Boys founder Gavin McInnes on Monday evening because of the “menace of escalating violence” amid ongoing protests.

“As a result of menace of escalating violence related to tonight’s occasion, Penn State College Police decided that it was essential to cancel the talking occasion within the curiosity of campus security,” the assertion learn. “Demonstrations regrettably turned violent.”

The varsity reiterated that the views of the audio system have been “abhorrent and don't align with the values of Penn State” and inspired peaceable protests.
